Modern common-rail diesel engines route crankcase blow-by vapours back through the intake system. These vapours carry tiny oil droplets that coat the inlet manifold, intercooler, EGR valve, and intake valves with a sticky residue. Over time it bakes into carbon deposits, restricting airflow, reducing performance, and causing expensive component failures.
A quality oil catch can intercepts these vapours, collects the oil, and lets clean air enter the intake. The Provent 200 separates approximately 98% of contaminants and includes an integrated safety valve to guard against irregular crankcase pressure.
