Modern diesel engines are fitted with EGR systems that route exhaust gases back through the intake manifold, combined with crankcase vapours that carry oil mist. Over time this combination creates thick carbon deposits inside your intake manifold, cylinder head, inlet valves, and EGR system, restricting airflow and killing performance.
At Core Diesel we've designed our own Three Stage Intake Clean system. Hydrogen carbon cleaning, injection clean, and top-end engine conditioner. It's a labour-intensive process: the vehicle is properly disassembled so every stage of the treatment reaches the areas that need it most.

Post-treatment diagnostic scan confirms fault codes are cleared. We road test before returning the vehicle.

We recommend every 50,000–70,000km as preventative maintenance. Vehicles used for frequent short trips or city driving may benefit from more regular cleaning.
Carbon cleaning combined with DPF regeneration resolves DPF warning lights in many cases. If the DPF is damaged or beyond regeneration, cleaning alone won't fix it. We'll assess this during the pre-clean diagnostic scan.
Our three-stage process significantly reduces carbon buildup throughout the intake and combustion system. For heavily built-up engines, a second treatment may be recommended.
